Sheraton Dalat Resort Cooperative Agreement with Starwood Inc Tuesday, 09 November 2010 Da Lat city, Lam Dong province – November 08, 2010 - Robin Hill Tourism Ltd. (Saigon Invest Group) signed a cooperative agreement with Starwood Inc to manage the Sheraton Dalat Resort at Palace Hotel, 12 Tran Phu St. Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Huynh Duc Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong and other provincial senior leaders, Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong, SGI's General Director and Mr. Ngo Manh Hung, Chairman of Robin Hill Resort, Mr. Miguel Ko, President and CEO of Starwood Asia Pacific. Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Dang Thi Hoang Phuong offered appreciation to the enthusiastic support of the local government during the project's implementation and hoped to receive further assistance in the time to come. The existing site then slopes down to the ocean The traffic - Pedestrian: Public pedestrian access is structured along the Son Tra-Dien Ngoc highway, along the beach front, in the middle of the site and on the sides of the resort site where pedestrian access to the beach can be found. - Vehicular: There are 3 vehicular access points to the resort. Two service entries sit at each end of the site and provide service to the five-star hotel and the apartment. The main entrance to the resort sits towards the center of the site and providing access to the five-star hotel, the apartment and the villas. Residents of the apartment park their automobiles in the underground parking located off the main road. Villa residents will be taken to their villa by a cart via the cart accesses located off the main road. Theo chủ đầu tư, việc ký kết với một tập đoàn nước ngoài chuyên nghiệp trong lĩnh vực quản lý resort, khách sạn, sẽ nâng tầm của dự án đồng thời đáp ứng nhu cầu nghỉ dưỡng ngày càng cao của khách hàng.

Sheraton Dalat Resort & Spa xây dựng trên diện tích khoảng 17 ha, vốn đầu tư ban đầu khoảng 25 triệu USD, tiêu chuẩn 5 sao với nhiều tiện ích.

Dự kiến resort này sẽ hoàn thành và đi vào hoạt động vào năm 2015. Đây cũng là một phần của dự án khu du lịch nghỉ dưỡng, khách sạn Sài Gòn - Lâm Đồng thuộc chương trình hợp tác kinh tế giữa TP HCM và Lâm Đồng.

Le Meridien Da Nang Resort- Spa, Le Meridien Resort Danang Saigon Invest Group has joined the race to tap Danang’s coastal tourism potential with a new luxurious resort. Saigon-Danang Investment Corporation, an affiliate of Saigon Invest Group, will develop the $110 million Le Meridien Danang Resort & Spa on Non Nuoc beach, which is currently seeing a construction boom. According to the developer, the resort will consist of 349 hotel rooms , 149 luxurious apartments and 48 villas for sales. Once completed in 2013, the five-star resort will heat up already fierce competition to lure foreign and local tourists to a range of tourism ventures along Danang’s coast. Last year, the city received about 1.35 million tourists and the number is expected to increase to 1.45 million this year. After years of lying dormant as a result of developers’ financial constraints, a number of resort projects are getting off the ground. Next to Le Meridien site is Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa, which is expected to open late next year, with 27 villas, 174 apartments and more than 200 hotel rooms. The latest opening is the Life Resort Danang with 178 rooms and Silver Shores International Resort with 600 rooms. The 30-kilometre coastal stretch from Son Tra peninsula in Danang to Hoi An old town is expected to welcome more than 3,000 new hotel rooms in the next couple of years. Le Meridien Resort is Saigon Invest Group’s third project in Danang, followed by the Lien Chieu and Hoa Khanh industrial parks. The group said the resort’s development was strong evidence of its investment diversification, especially in the “huge potential hospitality industry”, and tourism would be its strategic investment sector. US-based WATG, the world’s leading design consultant for the hospitality, leisure and entertainment industries, Singapore’s BuregaFarnell Pte will have input into Le Meridien. The resort will be managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc, which manages more than 940 hotels and resorts in 97 countries. Starwood’s Westin Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation for a Westin resort to be developed on a beachfront site in Cam Ranh Bay, Khanh Hoa Province on the southeastern coast of Vietnam. The 330-room Westin is targeted to open in 2012.
The Westin Resort & Spa, Cam Ranh will feature 330 rooms and a range of Westin products and services including the Westin Heavenly Bed, Westin WORKOUT and Heavenly Spa. Other hotel facilities will also include eight food and beverage outlets, a health club, swimming pools, Westin Heavenly Spa, Westin Kid’s Club, business center and a retail shop.
Cam Ranh Bay is a protected inlet off the South China Sea situated between Phan Rang and Nha Trang, approximately 290 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. It is well-known for its white sandy beaches and pristine turquoise waters. The site features an extensive beach frontage of 550 meters.
Due to the beachfront location and undulating terrain of the site, all guest rooms and villas will feature views of the ocean. The Westin resort is approximately a 10-minute drive from Cam Ranh airport and a 40-minute drive to the Nha Trang city center, the capital of Khanh Hoa Province.

Starwood expands investment portfolio in Vietnam

HCMC - Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. is taking steps to expand its hotel and resort investment portfolio in Vietnam to further cash in on the growing domestic market.

Spa, eight food and beverage outlets, a health club, an indoor heated pool, corners for kids are the facilities of the resort, which stretches 600 meters of Cam Ranh Peninsula’s shore and is 35 kilometers south of Nha Trang.Nguyen Van Dat, chairman and chief executive officer of Phat Dat Corp, which is also the developer of The EverRich apartment and commercial complex in HCMC, told the Daily that the corporation believed such a premium resort project would be for the future when the demand increased though the real estate and tourism sectors in Vietnam were facing difficulties.Dat said the firm was planning to develop similar projects in the World Heritage-listed city of Hoi An and Phu Quoc Island offshore Kien Giang Province in the Mekong Delta to expand its presence in the hospitality industry after four years of operating in real estate.Matthew Fry, Starwood’s vice president of operations and development in Asia Pacific, said Vietnam was the premier resort destination in the world because of its beautiful beaches and great potential to hospitality development, and these were why the Starwood decided to set up the Westin brand here.Also last week, Starwood’s Sheraton Hotels and Resorts publicized May 2009 as the debut for its Nha Trang property.A grand opening of the 281-room, 30-story Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa is planned for June, marking the first upscale hotel brand of this kind to open on the beach in Vietnam.By Nhan Tam and Mong Binh - The Saigon Times Daily
