Khu du lịch phức hợp Hồ Tràm
Ngày 23/5, lễ trao giấy phép và khởi công dự án Khu du lịch Hồ Tràm đã diễn ra tại TP HCM. Với vốn đầu tư 4,2 tỷ USD, đây được coi là dự án vốn đầu tư trực tiếp nước ngoài (FDI) lớn nhất Việt Nam cho tới nay.
Khu du lịch phức hợp Hồ Tràm đạt tiêu chuẩn 5 sao, rộng 169 ha, nằm tại xã Xuyên Mộc, tỉnh Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu. Nơi đây gồm có các hạng mục như khu điều dưỡng, vui chơi giải trí phức hợp, trung tâm hội nghị triển lãm quốc tế và khu khách sạn cao cấp. Dự án do Tập đoàn Asian Coast Development Ltd (ACDL), có trụ sở tại Canada, chuyên thiết kế và xây dựng khách sạn, khu nghỉ mát phức hợp, các nhà hàng... làm chủ đầu tư.

Được thiết kế để làm nổi bật khung cảnh thiên nhiên, giai đoạn một của khu du lịch sẽ mang chủ đề giữ gìn và bảo tồn môi trường thiên nhiên. Nằm trong khung cảnh thanh bình và hoang sơ, sẽ có hai khách sạn 5 sao với 2.300 phòng và các căn hộ cao cấp, sòng bạc mang phong cách Las Vegas đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Đặc biệt, nơi đây còn có sân khấu giải trí sống động và một khu vực riêng biệt dành cho khách VIP đến chơi, với hơn 500 máy đánh bạc và khoảng 90 bàn chơi bài. Dự kiến, giai đoạn một sẽ hoàn thành cuối năm 2010. Giai đoạn hai sẽ xây dựng thêm một khu resort nữa, với 1.300 phòng, 10 nhà hàng, CLB đêm, dự kiến mở cửa vào mùa xuân năm 2011. Toàn bộ dự án sẽ hoàn thiện sau 10 năm.
Ông Mike Aymong, Chủ tịch Tập đoàn ACDL, cho biết, khu du lịch Hồ Tràm sẽ là điểm du lịch sang trọng hàng đầu Việt Nam. Dự án được đánh giá không chỉ khai thác tiềm năng du lịch mà còn đẩy mạnh nhiều ngành dịch vụ khác của tỉnh Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu cũng như các tỉnh phía nam, tạo công ăn việc làm có thu nhập cao cho hàng ngàn lao động, tạo một bước ngoặt về kinh tế xã hội cho địa phương.
Đây là dự án du lịch thứ hai được cấp phép kể từ đầu năm của tỉnh Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu. Dự án thứ nhất được cấp phép giữa tháng 2 là Công viên thế giới kỳ diệu Vũng Tàu (Vungtau Wonderful World Theme Park) do Công ty Good Choice USA của Mỹ đầu tư gần 1,3 tỷ USD.

Asian Coast Development Ltd (ACDL) và đối tác Harbinger Capital khởi công dự án phức hợp Hồ Tràm tại xã Xuyên Mộc, tỉnh Bà Rịa Vũng Tàu hồi tháng 5 vừa qua, với tổng vốn đầu tư 4,2 tỷ USD, trong đó hạng mục quan trọng là tổ hợp casino trên biển.
Chủ tịch ACDL Mike Aymong thiên về kế hoạch chào bán cổ phần lần đầu (IPO) ở Hong Kong để huy động 1 tỷ USD, bởi các nhà đầu tư nơi đây ưa thích cổ phiếu casino. Bên cạnh đó, ACDL cũng dự định chào bán các khoản nợ trị giá 800-900 triệu USD. Tuy nhiên, do tác động của cuộc khủng hoảng tài chính thế giới, kế hoạch tạm thời gác lại để chờ thời điểm và lựa chọn mức giá hợp lý hơn.
Ngành kinh doanh casino châu Á mấy năm qua gặp thời do sự gia tăng nhanh chóng của nhóm người siêu giàu có nhu cầu giải trí trong khu vực. Tuy nhiên, các chuyên gia dự báo tốc độ tăng trưởng mạnh mẽ này có thể chậm lại, thậm chí suy giảm. Citigroup mới đây đưa ra dự báo doanh thu của các sòng bạc ở Macao, thủ phủ casino châu Á sẽ giảm 3% so với năm ngoái. Nếu đúng như vậy, đây sẽ là lần đầu tiên trong 3 năm qua các chủ casino Macao phải nếm trái đắng.
Giới đầu tư cũng đã rút ra bài học kinh nghiệm cho việc ôm cổ phiếu casino. Hồi tháng 7, tập đoàn SJM của tỷ phú cờ bạc giàu thứ 113 thế giới Stanley Ho niêm yết ở Hong Kong, làm nản lòng bao người khi giá chào sàn thấp hơn 1,3% so với IPO. SJM được coi là lá cờ đầu trong lĩnh vực casino ở Macao.

From the mountainous region of Mai Chau, we travel back to the nation capital, Hanoi.
Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Chau - Boat Trip on Ma River (L, D)
We depart Hanoi and head west towards Hoa Binh city where we stop for refreshments and visit Hoa Binh hydro station was built in the 1980's. Leaving Hoa Binh we climb to towards the Mai Chau valley, about another two hours away to the White Thai village of Lac.

Enjoy the stunning views while lunching on tasty local dishes cooked by the White Thai girls of the village. Afternoon we walk to the surrounding village then drive to Co luong harbor for the delights of a boat trip on Ma River for visit Ban En village.


Trek along the river bank to where you will reboard the boat where boat to go back to the Lac village. Our hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority people.

While enjoying these people's hospitality we find out a little more of their lives and cultures while socialising after the evening meal. Tonight’s accommodation in a stilt housewill probably be a little more rustic than you would be used to but nonetheless a lot of fun. Traditional dancing can be arranged as an extra.

Day 2: Mai Chau - Xa Linh (B, L, D)

Today we will visit XaLinh village- 60 km following the Hwy 6, the village of Black Hmong people. You will trek 2-3 hours though the mountains to see the daily life of the Hmong peole, tilling the fields, logging or herding buffalo. Have lunch cooked by a local White Thai woman from Lac village in Hang Kia village before returning to Lac village. Have dinner and spend other night in your stilt house in Pom Coong village.

Day 3: Van Village - Hanoi (B, L)
Following breakfast we embark on a lovely walk to Van village. We have the opportunity to spend some more time strolling around the hamlets and witnessing the beginnings of another day in rural Vietnam before we return to Hanoi. We enjoy lunch in Mai Chau before we drive back to Hanoi. Visit Muong village in Hoa Binh before the tour finish at your hotel in Hanoi.

Mặc dù được coi là vùng đất đầy tiềm năng phát triển du lịch song hạ tầng cơ sở, dịch vụ du lịch của Lào Cai khá yếu kém, hầu hết khách sạn đều dạng 2 sao trở xuống, thường xuyên quá tải vào các dịp lễ hội.
Mới đây, khu thương mại công nghiệp Kim Thành lớn nhất vùng biên giới Tây Bắc hoàn thành, góp phần thu hút nhiều dự án khách sạn cao cấp đầu tư. Đó là dự án khách sạn 4 sao Indochina Sapa Hotel với quy mô 88 phòng, vốn 11 triệu USD do Công ty CP Đầu tư Thương mại Quốc tế Đông Dương (Investcom) đầu tư. Dự kiến quý II năm 2011, khách sạn này sẽ khánh thành và đi vào hoạt động.
Ngoài ra, khu đô thị nghỉ dưỡng Indochina Sapa Resort với hơn 200 phòng, là một quần thể các lô biệt thự nghỉ dưỡng, trên tổng diện tích 28 ha, tổng vốn đầu tư 22 triệu USD. Dự kiến tháng 5 sẽ khởi công và khánh thành vào năm 2012.
Theo ông Nguyễn Hữu Vạn, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Lào Cai, Pháp đang giúp tỉnh Lào Cai xây dựng quy hoạch đô thị mở rộng thị trấn Sapa và hỗ trợ phát triển du lịch sinh thái, bảo vệ đa dạng sinh học. Đây sẽ là tiền đề để tỉnh trở thành trung tâm du lịch lớn của miền Bắc.
