Courtyard By Marriott introduced in Vietnam. Wednesday, 12th May 2010 Source : HVS International Marriott International will introduce its Courtyard by Marriott brand in Vietnam under a management agreement with CY - Ham Tan Resort Limited Company. The 200-key property will be situated along a beachfront site in the area of La Gi, which is located approximately three hours’ drive along Vietnam’s southeastern coast from Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is expected to open in 2012. -------- Courtyard by Marriott to Open in Vietnam Thursday, 08 April 2010 April 07 2010, Saigon-Ham Tan Tourism Joint Stock Co (SHTC), a subsidiary of Saigon Investment Group (SGI) signed a contract with Marriott International Group to develop a 4 star Courtyard resorts and hotels in Saigon-Ham Tan tourism Complex, funded by SHTC. According to the contract, Marriott International Group will manage the 200-room Courtyard hotel, in Saigon-Ham Tan tourism Complex. It will be part of a mixed-used development that will be built in phases. The project will initially include a residential component and will later add additional hotels, more residential units, a golf course and golf villas. The partnership signaled the first Courtyard to be opened in Vietnam. It reaffirmed the strong financial capability and international prestige of SGI and its member SHTC in the process of integration and development. Saigon-Ham Tan Tourism Complex Project, total area of 200 hectares in Tan Binh Commune, La Gi Town, Binh Thuan Province, situated on the new ungraded area from 1A Highway to Lai Gi, 130 km away from Ho Chi Minh city and 70 km away from Phan Thiet city. The project with over $150 million USD in capital investment is expected to be in business in 2012.
